Archangelos Konstantinidis
BSc. Counseling Psychology
MSc. Clinical Community Psychology
Official resume:
My name is Archangelos Konstantinidis and I offer premium psychotherapy services. I graduated from Teesside University, U.K. with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Counselling Psychology, and a full scholarship to continue my studies at postgraduate level from the same university, in 2008.
I completed my first internship at the refugee reception and support center "Social Solidarity" in Thessaloniki, in the social services department.
I attended and still attend lectures and seminars always in the field of mental health and psychotherapy, such as couples counseling, psychotherapeutic techniques, approaches, etc. I did extensive personal psychotherapy as a client myself.
In 2009, I was trained in mental health first aid in Vancouver, Canada, by Alberta Health Services.
I later completed my postgraduate studies in 2014, with the title MSc. in Clinical Community Psychology, specializing in Clinical Psychology with distinction, at the University of East London, U.K. As part of my postgraduate studies, I was trained in Family Systemic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I completed my second internship under supervision at the psychotherapy center of the Metropolitan College in Thessaloniki.
I have a Diploma in psychological trauma, loss and bereavement management and a Diploma in Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks management, both form the National and Kappodistrian University of Athens.
I have served the Hellenic Rescue Team (Central administration, Thessaloniki) as a volunteer rescuer specializing in First Aid, Security, Mass Disasters and Humanitarian missions for 5 years, taking part in dozens of exercises and trainings as well as missions abroad such as the 2004 earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia and the 2006 earthquake in Kashmir, Pakistan. I was the on-call duty officer for the rescuers of the Hellenic Rescue Team at the 3rd Surgical Clinic of AHEPA Hospital for two years and also have been providing psychological first aid and crisis counseling for over 15 years.
Later, I delivered many lectures and trainings on the subject of rescue psychology, crisis psychology and Psychological First Aid in various contexts.
In 2015, I took part in multiple missions for the refugee and migration crisis in Idomeni Kilkis, as a team leader of a volunteer group of the Greek Civil Protection and as a provider of Psychological First Aid.
I have been focusing on providing quality psychotherapeutic services, with great care and a huge sense of responsibility, and I would not have it any other way. I am a scientific associate of the central administration of the Hellenic Rescue Team, offering psychotherapeutic and educational services to the members of the team and to the wider public.
I have worked and still work more with difficult and complex cases, without this meaning that I do not have experience with "simpler" ones. Clinical and non-clinical cases, around anxiety and mood and how these affect someone's life, are probably 60% of my experience. Putting them in order, so that you have the best possible idea of how I can help you, dysfunctional or problematic relationships are the second largest group of problems that I help with. Whether it is family or any kind of relationship issues, I can help you. The third category of issues that I deal with I would say is large. In part it involves deep, transformational work, through a compassionate yet honest, professional framework, tailored to those seeking real personal growth.

Personal CV:
Ever since I was a child ,I have always asked the question “why?”…something that must have been quite tiring for the adults around me. I had an innate need for understanding and knowledge about life and people, a thirst that was never satisfied! I still am asking tough questions today, only the questions I ask, have changed somewhat.
Most of the subjects at school were either not enough for me or did not seem important to me with some exceptions, but I read everything from extracurricular books. I spent and try to spend time in nature observing and exploring. I never excluded who I would hang out with as a child except for a few exceptions and I “collected” experiences, emotions and information, always trying to learn more about people.
I had dyscalculia, the equivalent of dyslexia but with numbers, but I did not know it. This caused me many difficulties in various ways.
My teenage years and early adulthood were quite difficult, mainly for family reasons. This sparked an even greater need to search for meaning and understand the psychological nature of people on many levels. I learned three foreign languages, traveled and worked in various countries abroad, with limited means, searching for redemption and meaning.
I noticed early on that no matter how bad I might feel, I always found satisfaction in helping others in any way.
I looked into the metaphysical, the scientific, religions, philosophy and thought quite a lot. I was lucky, as along the way I also met people, usually older than me who were people of deep discussions and with their own restless souls. Along the way I changed studies and jobs and through all of this, I knew what I wanted to do.
Psychology and psychotherapy were not the answer to my big questions! But it was something more important as I realized through my studies and my personal therapy. It was and is the best tool to help people and to evolve, myself, through it. This was exactly what I wanted to do more than anything else.
So maturely and mainly consciously at the age of 28, I began my studies by choice.
Today, it rewards me immensly, to be the means of change for the better, in people's lives.
I invite you to take this journey together! Thank you!
